1. Cut the Kovakkai/ Ivy Gourd after cutting the ends.
2. Heat oil in a pan and allow mustard seeds to splitter in it.
3. Add curry leaves, red chillies, and fry for few minutes.
4. Then, add the chopped Kovakkai/ Ivy Gourd and add salt and turmeric powder.
5. Close the pan and cook it for 10-12 minutes in the medium heat.
6. Avarakkai Poriyal is ready to eat.

| 1/2 tsp | Split Urad Dal |
| 1 tablespoon | Oil |
| 1 tsp | Sambar Powder |
